I am sure that some people speak Finnish and can be done in his study. I live mainly in the United States, but very often visit to Finland (Finnish, I'm American), and met four exchange students during these visits - one of them spoke excellent Finnish Two very good Finnish. I also listened to the fourth, when we speak Finnish, but not to learn the language and the other three. His native language was Arabic, I think.
I am half Finnish and Swedish, medium and even took time to learn Finnish. Light Language is (especially because of the grammar) is difficult, I learned 5 languages fluently before it.
